Not everyone knows that many of the designs from the adidas x Jeremy Scott collaboration were inspired by ideas and patterns taken directly from Jeremy Scott’s runway collections. His signature Wings motif, which Jeremy has used across almost every kind of garment and accessory, is undoubtedly the element he is best known for worldwide. One of Jeremy Scott’s earliest winged designs appeared in his Spring/Summer 1998 collection, “Rich White Women.” The motif was later revisited for Fall/Winter 2001’s “American Excess,” where it took the form of the stylized wing graphic that would go on to appear across several designs from his collaborations with other brands. This track jacket directly references a dress from the 2001 collection and has become particularly rare to find online.
