The adidas Jeremy Scott Wings Basketball is a basketball shoe in every sense. Many of adidas' most iconic sneakers were originally designed as basketball shoes. The Metro Attitude, which served as the foundation for many of Jeremy Scott's designs, was no exception. Jeremy simply turned a basketball into a flying sneaker. This early sample pair is a great example of how unusual sneaker designs evolve during development, with details gradually refined until the final retail version is reached. This pair features so many differences that it almost feels like a completely different shoe. The basketball texture is different, the tongue logo and printed graphics are silver instead of black, the wing embroideries are red instead of orange, and the insoles read "EST. MCMXXVI NO. 38764", whereas the retail version only features the Jeremy Scott logo.
