Y-3 collections from 2004 are arguably the most iconic. While the brand has consistently released innovative and captivating collections throughout its 20+ year history, the SS04 and AW04 collections stand out as the most memorable. One reason for this is the collaboration with Japanese artist Saeko Tsuemura, known to Yohji Yamamoto fans through her collaborations on his mainline collections.
The Autumn/Winter 2004 “Rebel” collection featured Tsuemura’s illustrations of a blonde girl inspired by the 1968 film The Girl on a Motorcycle. As a result, retro, American-style garments and motorcycle-themed embroideries became distinctive elements of the collection.
This jacket is reversible: the black side is made of wool, while the white side is crafted from a sweatshirt-like fabric.
It comes in used condition and shows discoloration and a few small stains in several areas, but overall it remains in good shape.
Important: plastic zipper pulls on vintage Y-3 items are known to break easily due to aging. On this item, the zipper pulls are perfectly intact. It is recommended to avoid forcing or bending them.
